COMBI STOVES
Technically, a combi stove is a stove equipped with a “wood” type combustion chamber which integrates a pellet burner and its loading system. A flame sensor immediately detects which fuel it is and operates the stove accordingly, without any user intervention on the electronics. How do the two fuels interact? As soon as you load the logs, the stove detects an increase in temperature and then cuts off the pellet supply. This will only resume if you do not add wood and if there is actually a need to provide heat to the environment, otherwise the stove automatically goes into standby mode, then restarts as soon as there is a new demand for heat.
The mixed stove highlights the best of both fuels, the soft flame of wood and its lower cost, the practicality of pellets and the possibility of remote management and programming. It would seem that the combi stove is the perfect synthesis of both technologies, however we have experienced that it is not always worth buying a combi stove, so we always ask the following questions: do you have your own drink ? Do you have enough space to store both fuels? in fact, we want to avoid you buying a mixed product to make it work only with pellets or only with wood. In short, we want to make sure that you are truly "undecided" about choosing the best fuel.
The mixed stoves in the Animo Rika range respect the philosophy of the Austrian manufacturer which favors products with natural convection, therefore without fan noise or dust swirls in the heated volume. A significant part of heat diffusion is also given by radiation through the surface of the glass, especially when burning logs. There is a Multiair version which is equipped with one or two ductable motors, which allow hot air to be diffused into two adjacent rooms. In this case, the manufacturer has chosen high quality motors and opted for a duct outlet diameter of 100 mm, this way when you activate the duct motors the noise is reduced to a minimum.
